#Forza motorsport 4 essential edition update
Has anyone else had problems buying pre-owned/refurbished products from Gamestop (or anywhere else)?Īs an update to anyone who has read the previous posts about my xbox 360 problems, the machine I got as a replacement to the one Gamestop initially sold me has been working fine. I might be willing to buy new products, still in their package, but I can get a better price online. So, that’s my experience, and that’s how I feel about Gamestop right now. The store is clean, and has helpful, courteous workers, but their stuff isn’t reliable. Every recent problem I’ve had from doing business with Gamestop has to do with the products. I didn’t feel like they gave me a hard time, nothing like that. I want to stress the fact that the Gamestop employees did an excellent job communicating with me. “Yea, me too, but I’m not going to pay for stuff that doesn’t work, and I don’t have a lot of time to keep returning stuff, so I think I’m done for a while.” I’ve had problems from stuff I buy here recently, and I think I’m just not going to buy anything else for a while.” “Are you sure? The computer says we have another copy, and it’s probably not scratched up.” I’m tired and I don’t want to have to bring anything else back here tonight.
“Would you like to see if we have another copy for you?” I said, “I want to return this.” They said, “Is there something wrong with it?” I said, “Yes, it skips, and it won’t load anything after the first race.” I quietly packed up my game (and my enthusiasm to play the game), and took it back to Gamestop. Go back right now, while you still can, return the game, get your money, and stay out of that store.” That happened about three more times before I said to myself, “Listen self, just save yourself another Gamestop headache. I chose to star a race, and the music started repeating like an old CD that skips. I made it past the screen where I had to choose a car. I had to restart (it didn’t save, despite the “saving” message). That was after finishing a race at the beginning and after already receiving a “saving” message. Then, I received a message saying that the disk couldn’t be read. Then, it asked me to choose a starting car. After I was finished running a few errands, I went home and put it into the Xbox 360. In case you missed the story about the crappy Xbox 360 Slim I bought, I got it from Gamestop, so I was either giving them the benefit of the doubt, or I might be an idiot (maybe both). Keep in mind that I had a bad buying experience from them not long ago. I went ahead and bought the game as an impulse buy. I decided to go into Gamestop the other day to look around, and I noticed that they had a complete edition of Forza Motorsport 4 (not the “Essentials” edition with less cars).
